![]() | Graham Gano, born April 9, 1987 in Arbroath, Scotland grew up in Pensacola, FL and graduated from Tate H.S. in 2005 as an All-America First-Team selection by USA Today. He selected FSU over Florida, UCF and Southern Miss and is majoring in Criminology. This year, as a senior Graham won the nation’s top honor, the Lou Groza award, for best place kicker in college football. Also during the 2008 season he become the first player in FSU school history to handle all of the kicking duties (punting, placements and kickoffs). In addition to his many list of accolades he was named the 2008 Champs Bowl MVP and the top punter in the ACC by the Sporting News. In December of 2009 Gano was signed by the Washington Redskins after they released former placekicker Shaun Suisham, and has been awarded the starting placekicker position. He kicked his first field goal as a Redskin against the Oakland Radiers and was 2/2 (both FGs 40+ yards) and 4/4 in PATs. |
